Affiliate links
Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, such as a book, a tour or a festival ticket, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes how we label a story or what we write about a creature or a place. Pages with affiliate links will say so near the link.
Advertising
The site may show ads from advertising networks. We do not choose individual ads and they are not endorsements.
Independence
Almanac of Cryptids is not paid by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any investigating group, museum, festival, author, television show or person named on the site.
How we write
Every entry reports what witnesses and researchers say and what skeptics and scientists suggest, names who makes each claim, and labels the story by how well it is documented. Research was assisted by AI tools and checked against the sources listed with each entry. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
